Mainstreaming and Implementing the water-energy nexus for sustainable development in the african region

The workshop was organized to inform government officials and relevant stakeholders from the African continent on how to effectively manage the water-energy nexus and interlinkages with other SDGs for sustainable development and to facilitate the implementation of the Agenda 2030 and Agenda 2063 at the national level. The workshop also discussed the cross-sectoral mainstreaming challenges and gaps for nexus approach.

Furthermore, it was intended to enhance knowledge management and sharing of best practices on the water-energy nexus, interlinkages with other SDGs, and for showcasing success stories and challenges in the implementation of water and energy nexus. workshop was also aimed at strengthening advocacy and outreach in the areas of energy and water and their interlinkages
