Side Event at the Tenth World Urban Forum (WUF10)
To ensure that "No One is Left Behind", the 2030 Agenda calls for a special effort to ensure that countries in special situations make rapid progress in building resilience towards realizing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In this vein, United Nations Office for Sustainable Development (UNOSD) will host a side event at the Tenth World Urban Forum (WUF10) titled, "SDGs in Aciton: Inclusive Local Governance Solutions to Accelerate the SDGs and Leave No One Behind" on Tuesday, 11 February 2020 from 14:00 to 15:00 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
This side event features interactive presentations and initatives from civil society and UN agencies to ensure WUF attendees to engage on how to accelerate the SDGs in cities through inclusive planning and decision-making approaches, while also learning about new initiatives to ensure inclusive localization of the SDGs. This side event will especially highlight how cities are sharing their progress on the SDGs through Voluntary Local Reviews (VLRs) and innovative technologies for inclusion.
